Be female in possession of a birth certificate or an ID document and be a valid South African citizen.
Be at least 15 years as of the 1st May and not older than 17 years as of the 6th December for the Teen Miss category
Be at least 18 years as of the 1st May and not older than the age of 25 as of the 6th December for the Miss category
Not be engaged, not be married, never have been married and never have had a marriage annulled
Not be pregnant and never have given birth to a child
Be of good moral character
THE APPLICANT AGREES TO…
Make herself available for interviews, rehearsals, and any event relating to and including the competition and to do what is reasonably expected of her to assist the organisers with all the arrangements necessary for the event.
Following all reasonable instructions from the organisers with regard to make-up, hairstyle, dress code and general appearance and behaving in a mature and courteous manner.
In the event that she is selected as a finalist, she will make herself available to the organisers for the duration of the pageant and/or the schedule of event for various publicity/promotional appearances and rehearsals, free of charge
In the event that she is selected as the winner, she will enter into an agreement with the organisers for the period of her reign.
She will not enter into any agreement or arrangement with any person, television company, radio station in respect of her participation in the pageant and her appearance in the event, unless the organisers have furnished their prior written consent.
She will not engage in any photographic sessions in relation to the pageant with any third party without the prior consent of the organisers. She will not engage in activities which violate the law of any jurisdiction, offend against public morals and embarrass the organisers in any way.
She shall not disclose to any third party, without the prior written consent from the organisers, any information relating to the pageant, selection process, or any other information which may come to her attention relating to organisers. Should she be approached or contacted by the press, she should immediately refer them to the organisers.
Finalists will be required to perform a limited number of engagements. A finalist will therefore not be eligible to enter another national competition except with the written permission of the organisers.
If applicants are under the age of 18 they must obtain written consent to enter the competition from a parent or guardian.
The judges’ decision shall be final and no reasons will be provided for such decisions.
Should an entry be submitted without proof of payment, it cannot be considered.
Interference, whatever the nature, by any parent or third party shall not be tolerated and could lead to the disqualification of the entrant on whose behalf the person has intervened.
Sponsors, organisers and their immediate families involved in the pageant may not enter.
Candidates entering the pageant must be prepared to work in Ekurhuleni.
If any sponsor(s) withdraw from the pageant, the organisers and those associated with the organiser cannot be held liable.
Contestants enter the pageant completely at their own risk and the organisers will not be held responsible for any personal loss/damage or injuries suffered during the event.
No cameras will be permitted at the semi-finals or the gala event as an official photographer will be appointed.
If a contestant relinquished her title for any reason whatsoever, all prizes must be returned in the condition it was received.
The winner must be available to attend functions throughout her year of reign. If she cannot fulfil her year of reign for any reason the 1st Princess will automatically take over the title.
The organisers reserve the right to change the dates and locations of the pageant at any time.
These terms and conditions are subject to modifications, as needed, without prior notice. Lehakoe Investments reserves the right to make said modifications at its sole discresion.
FINALIST AGREEMENT
She has the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in the event of being selected as a finalist, and agrees to enter into the finalist agreement, should such an agreement be required and that should she not have the legal capacity, her legal guardian will sign the finalist agreement on her behalf.
She is single, not engaged to be married, has not been married and/or never had a marriage annulled.
She is not pregnant and has never given birth to a child.
She accepts the schedule of events established by the organisers and will follow it. She agrees to always be on time and dressed accordingly.
Should the winner not respect the agreement of the organisers, Lehakoe Investments would have the full right to discharge her and to nominate the runner-up who would then take over the title with all corresponding rights and obligations. The discharged winner cannot pretend to use the title. Moreover, she would have to give the 1st runner-up the cash she received and all prizes she won when she was crowned.
Should you qualify for the final event, a sponsorship of R2500.00 will be applicable. Note that all sponsors will receive maximum exposure and finalists will receive an official sponsor letter.
All transportation is for your own costs and public transportation may not be used as an excuse for not attending any event.
DISQUALIFICATION
The organisers may disqualify an applicant, without compensation, as an entrant, finalist or winner of the competition should an applicant at any stage supply untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and information, break the rules or be found to be unfit in the sole discretion of the organisers; and / or
Having undergone a material alteration in her appearance at any stage prior to the selection of the finalists or for the duration of the finalists’ agreement and / or
Committed a breach of any of these terms or behave in a way in which the organisers in their sole discretion consider inappropriate
